Rant of the confused author

Okay, so I was reading some fanfiction on fanfiction.net (my friends write on there. I have an account, but I prefer to create my own characters and stories, etc. so I don’t post anything) and after clicking a few links I found myself on a sporking forum. Sporking is basically taking a story someone else wrote and adding your own bits which are sarcastic remarks. Although I found this highly amusing, it also worried me. A lot of the stories that were sporked were Mary Sues, and as I read over each spork I began to worry. What if my own characters are Mary Sues? I mean, I try hard to humanize my characters so they’re easy to relate to (Reader: Hrm, if I were in this character’s position I’d do the same thing) but what if that didn’t exactly work out? What if the characters I’d grown to love so much actually are Mary Sues? I mean, I have really worked hard on some of my characters, especially two my new ones.

So in other news I got my mark in Math back. Let’s just say it was not what I expected.

Today I have volunteering where I will sit and be bored for three hours straight then come home and go one the computer and eventually eat dinner and sleep.

Oh yeah, and snails do lay eggs. I thought they did, but I wan’t sure.

Anyhoo, must be off. Need to get dressed so I don’t go to volunteering in my pyjamas.

Because Ranting Is Fun

SO. Today was an okay day until Math class where we had a test (DX) and I didn’t do very well. Then a certain SOMEONE practically BRAGGED IN MY FACE about how FARKING EASY IT WAS while I was STILL DOING IT! Well sorree, but I have issues functioning in the mornings and early afternoon. That makes it harder to work on Math tests and Home Ec. projects.

Anyway, that’s the bad news. The good news is a got a green ribbon! It makes me happy and less glum. It is a happy-making-ribbon.

UPDATED: By the way, does anyone know whether or not snails lay eggs? I have been asking that question all day and not knowing is killing me!

Going places

Early. Meh. But FictionPress is working again, so yay!

Did you know that the “Happy Birthday” song is copyrighted, and that every time someone sings it in public, they’re breaking the law? I learned that a few days ago, and thought that it was cool. So people who work at restaurants, etc, have to pay money to sing the song to someone.

Well, as the title of this post says, I am indeed going places today. First I have volunteering for 3 hours, then it’s off to my friend’s house for her birthday. One of my other friends is going to bring a cd, and if he plays it I will have to kill him.

Bahaha, I finally figured this out. Which is a good thing, since FictionPress isn’t letting me post new chapters, I am ridiculously bored. *headdesk*

Hey, you know those things when you make an account for something and there’s that little box with words you have to type in? I love those things. I got the funniest two words today. I forgot them though. I do believe it was about a cactus? Or some kind of animal…but it doesn’t matter, since no one cares but me. =P

Anyway, today I got the next book in the series that my friend is having me read. They are quite good, but I forgot the name. Shows how much attention I pay to what I read.

Not much else to say. I’ve started on my new story, and my computer is being French again. Ah well, guess that’s what I get for naming it Francois!
